"Animals" Attack Soon?

While not many details are known about the project, "Animals" is a sci-fi/thriller that involves the entire world's population of animals turning on humans all at once. Mike Sobel pinned the script. Neal Moritz is producing.

Being an animal lover, I don't know how I feel about this. It sounds like "Maximum Overdrive" meets "Jaws," "Cujo" ...etc... No word on when the film will actually go in to pre-production. No director or actors have been hired. Columbia Pictures has picked it up, but beyond that who knows if this movie will ever see the light of a film lot.

X-Files Peak Show

Looks Mulder didn't get enough action with Scully in the first movie. A couple of distant set pictures reveal a nice little moment between the legendary characters:

"X-Files 2" arrives July 25th in theaters.

TRAILER - Wanted (Trailer 2)

I know I've mentioned and expressed my opinion on this movie before, and after seeing this trailer... it hasn't changed. Part of me likes what is shown in the trailer, the other part of me thinks this movie is going to be crap. Again, I've yet to see director Timur Bekmambetov's highly acclaimed "Night Watch" films, but "Wanted" doesn't look like it will be his big "breakthrough" in to American cinema. We'll see... What do you think?

Another Indiana Jones Photo Rolls In

Looks like Dr. Jones still can't stay out of a good chase sequence.. Check out the new photo from the upcoming Indiana Jones film:

New Iron Man Poster

Not normally a fan of the photoshop posters with different characters' heads getting bigger until the main character overshadows everyone, but this is pretty colorful. While not exactly an original looking poster it's certainly inspiring and it could've looked a lot worse. Click to enlarge:

Iron Man. This May!

EDIT:

Whoops! Got ahead of myself. Yet another "Iron Man" poster has surfaced and it's slightly more impressive than the other. Take a look:

Dragonball Gets Delayed - April 2009

Sorry it's been a little while. It's been a rough week for me and I just haven't had the chance or desire to work on the blog much, but I've got a little bit of news. First up, "Dragonball." While many fans are moaning that the movie got pushed back by nine months, I'm actually okay with it.

It sounds to me like shooting isn't going as quickly as planned. Production for "Dragonball" began in December and Fox expected filming to be done by March 15th. This meant post-production had to be done by mid to late July in order for pre-screenings and prints to be shipped out. "Dragonball" is an effects heavy film, the time this movie had to finish post-production was not reasonable. So at least we know the effects will be polished.

Granted, some think that the new release date gives the movie too much time, and they're probably right. But at least it gives the movie plenty of time to get proper exposure. As of now, no one knows this movie is coming out. The fanbase knows, but that's it. There has been no teaser trailer, no official pictures... Nothing. Fox needs to give "Dragonball" enough time to settle in the minds of audiences, and the new release date gives them that time. The previous August 15th release date simply felt like it was sprung at last minute-- Which it was.

The new amount of time this movie has actually gives me a little more faith in it. "Dragonball" will be released April 3, 2009.

TRAILER - Narnia: Prince Caspian Featurette

More of a "hype up the movie"-trailer than a featurette, it does a good at being both. The brief words from the cast and crew encourage me that this movie may be far better than the previous. Again, the more I see about it, the more I anticipate it. Take a look:
