"Harry Potter 5" - A Whole Boat Full of Pics

The title says it all. Heres a new batch of screen shots and promotional photos for "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix"! Enjoy Mary.

Love the hair Harry! Love the hair! Looks better the shorter it gets. In fact, lets just shave his head for the next two films!

Ok, now this guy, in all seriousness, I am glad got a haircut. He looked hideous in the last film I could barely look up at the screen when he was shown-- It's hard enough to take his acting at this point. The lack of his ridiculous-Barbie-doll hair will make him more watchable. Geez...THANK YOU, for chopping that crap off.

I'm rusty on my Potter-ness. With the exception of Hermione (duh), Malfoy and Cho, I don't know who the rest are. But there you have. This July is pretty much Harry Potter month with the last book and 5th movie arriving. So keep those brooms ready....you know. To sweep.

TRAILER - "Evan Almighty"

I "pray" the best parts aren't being shown in the trailer. "Bruce Almighty" was a good, genuinly funny film with an excellent screenplay. Lets hope this delivers the same goods.

The flood comes June 22.

TRAILER - "The Bourne Ultimatum"

It's a less than thrilling trailer, but the series has a more than thrilling track record. It'll probably be one of the better summer flicks this year. I love the first two films, so I'm gearing up for this.

August 3rd people!

TRAILER -"28 Weeks Later"

Well, this looks pointless. For those who have faith in it though...enjoy...

Aronofsky, "The Fighter"

Apparently Darren Aronofsky will be directing Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon in a boxing drama. The film is based on the an Irish boxer who gets tot he top with the help of his brother and trainer.
Aronofsky is also set to do a thriller about a dancer, so this might be far off, but like i've said before, after "The Fountian", I'll see anything he touches.

Depp and Banderas Take a Trip to "Sin City 2"

Looks like Depp will finally appear in the "Sin City" franchise. "Sin City" director, Robert Rodriguez, talked about Depp's casting to MTV:

"[Depp] was interested in doing the Jackie Boy character that Benicio [Del Toro] played [in the first one], but he was doing that movie 'Libertine' in Europe and it just kept getting pushed and delayed and went right through our shooting schedule," Rodriquez said of the actor he directed in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico." "But there is a better role for him in ['Hell and Back']. I kept going, 'Gosh, Jackie Boy is a small part, he could be really good [as Wallace].' When he wasn't available, I thought maybe it was meant to be."

Furthermore, Rodriguez was also excited about an old friend from his "Desperado" days, Antonio Banderas:

"When I showed him the first sample of the work, he went, 'Man I'll do anything in that. I'll be the hunchback. You have to bring me onboard, that looks amazing,' " Rodriguez recalled. "So Frank [Miller] met him that time too and he said, 'I have got to find something for that guy. I've never met him before. He's amazing.' [So we're] looking at the cast of characters and [looking] to see where he can fit."

Currently the actors aren't attatched, but Rodriguez is very enthusiastic that they'll be able to join for "Sin City 2". I'm excited myself! After I saw "Sin City" I always felt it was something meant for Johnny Depp, so it's almost dream come true that he'll be in the sequel.

Optimus Prime vs. Megatron

At the advent of a Transformers "myspace" (yeah...I know...) a new picture, admittedly kind of cool, has been released. It shows the two transforming leaders face to face...can't really tell that it's Megatron or make out any face of his at all...Optimus looks a little recognizable. Oh well. Here's the pic and, uh, join the myspace if you want...

Batmobile Sighting in Chicago

The new Batmobile, the Tumbler, has been spotted in Chicago, but not just one. Apparently there are ten different Tumbler models being used for different purposes on the set for "The Dark Knight". One can guess that a few are probably going to be blown up or something. Here's a picture of one that was spotted recently:

Megatron Gets a Facelift

Yet again the awful "Megatron" design for the new "Transformers" film gets a slight overhaul. The Tyrannotron look has been significantly toned down and it looks slightly more like the Megatron of more recent incarnations. It could still stand to look better though.

Redesigned Megatron Head. Click to enlarge:

From official film comic book:

It's an improvment, but that's hardly saying anything at all. A muppet would be an improvemnt. You can see this design in action and speaking Hugo Weaving's voice come July.

Michael Bay Flaps His Trap (Transformers)

Where as Kurt Russell is a respectable talent being a jerk, Bay is just a hack being exactly as you'd expect a hack to be. Bay decided to "update" people on his blog about post-production with "Transformers" and the backlash he's getting from critics and fans:

"Almost a 100 days left. I guess I should start posting every week? I've been working my ass off - the cut is really coming along -the shots ---awesome. Some of the most difficult renders in ILM history. Sometimes up to 38 hours per frame. The Show West thing was fun to see the scenes play in a 1000 person house. But they just saw 25 minutes so it is hard to feel engaged because they are not seeing the full run of a movie. Harry called me to tell me how he loved it. I see all the d**kwad talk back people who claim they have read a finished script. Impossible - I kept the only draft for the last two months before shooting. That's where did major retooling to the script - yes the scene beats are similar but a very different script. We are still writing the robot voices. They talk about just 20 minutes of action at the end - yeah right. This is by far the most action I have ever put into a movie - I have 12 huge set pieces. Boy I get tired of these lame cry babies on the net."

Ok, so the CGI is going to be good...great, we don't get enough CGI in film these days... Lines are still being written for the Autobots and Decepticons, so it's good to know they knew what they were doing ahead of time and that everything was planned out. Oh and those who form opinions are dickwads.
To be fair, I do believe him that the finished script has not been leaked on the net. People who say they've read the "leaked" script in advance are often given something very different once the film comes out. (The "Star Wars - Episode 3" leaks come to mind.) But like "Episode 3", that doesn't mean the finished script will be good either.
