Jet Li IS The Mummy?

Apparently their still in talks, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Jet Li will play the new mummy in the third installment of The Mummy franchise.
Other plot details include the setting being in China in the post WWII-era. The film is being directed by Rob Cohen and is set for release in 2008.
I wouldn't expect any kung fu from Li though, I think he's stopped all those kinds of films. However I'm a little curious how all this will work out. Li as a Mummy? I'll have to see it first...
