Paul Greengrass, director of "The Bourne Supremacy," and "The Bourne Ultamatum," has teamed back up with Matt Damon for the new political drama "Green Zone." Being filmed in Central London, "Green Zone" follows the story of two CIA agents on the trail of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Matt Damon plays an officer, Roy Miller, who combines his efforts with the CIA agents to find the weapons.
The Green Zone, is a highly fortified area where U.S troops stay during the Iraq Occupation. Highly fortified, it's said that many flawed decisions are made there, not unlike decisions from Vietnam.
Here's some pictures of Damon at the production. Click to enlarge:
Not bad Mr. Greengrass. If all goes well, he might make a bigger name for himself. A lot of the political dramas do poorly at the box office or are often tossed aside as cliche and only relevant for a few more years. (Is that why "Platoon" is still remembered?) Greengrass might be able to pull out something real nice here.
"Green Zone" will be released in 2009.
