According to Robert Meyer Burnett (producer of behind-the-scenes material for "Superman Returns"), the Superman sequel won't start filming until March 2008, more than likely heading for a summer 2009 release. The film will be directed by Bryan Singer, but before he starts production on Superman, he'll be shooting a WW2 picture this summer.
That's fine. Nolan did "The Prestige" before he started with "The Dark Knight". Variety is good. Talent shouldn't be limited to superhero movies.
